Enforcement without theatre
Not every infringement deserves the loudest available response.
Infringement invites performance. There is a temptation to show strength immediately — a tone, a forum, a public posture. I try to resist that temptation until the facts have been ranked.
Some matters need a firm letter. Some need patience while evidence is assembled. A few need the courage to wait. The client’s commercial position matters as much as the legal theory.
Strength, in this work, is often the ability to choose a quieter tool and stand behind it.
